I suck at caring for plants, I wanna change that (ᗒᗣᗕ)՞

For as long as I've had my own room (apr. since I was 10), I have killed every plant I bought. Wether it be a pretty orchid or a low-maintenance cactus or succulent, I have either overwatered them, or forgot they existed in the first place. It seemed hopeless for me, I started buying fake, plastic plants to fill the void, but my room slowly getting more shiny greenery didn't stop me from feeling like I was just painting a fresh coat my failure as a plant mom. And I want to have a green thumb, every woman in my family seems to be gifted, even my sister who couldn't care less about plants, it was just me.

I envy them to some degree, since my favorite gaming genre is farming, it is a petty reason, but I live off of spite alone, so I had this amazing, brilliant idea "If I documented my attempt, I might not end up forgetting its existance". And so, here we are!

Day 2: Beautifying ⋆. 𐙚 ˚

I found another adequate flower pot for my second lavender flower, it is not very cute or pink, but still very pretty. I've also given them their first sip of water *glug glug*, but shouldn't overdo it since those puppies are used to hotter climats, I just moved them to my windowsill and hope for the best.

The shorter one will be Lavellan and the taller one is MissingNo. :) Yes, stupid names, I know, but it's the only thing that popped into my mind when thinking of lavender.

Day 1: Aquiring a plant

Recently I found this really cute plant pot, with strawberries all over, it fit in my room perfectly so I impulsivly purchased it. Now it needs a plant, and I have finally managed to find a suitable guest. But first, I will yap about my experience picking my perfect victi- I mean flower 𖤣.𖥧.𖡼.⚘ I entered this big ass store, completly overwhelmed and already distracted by the cute watering cans in many fun shapes and colors, cute duckies, classic elephants, even a cow. "Wow, this place has it all!", I said to myself, looking through the merchendise while wating for the rest of my family who joined to catch up. I regret not buying one (they were adorable) and it might have made the whole process of watering easier for me, but alas, I only left the store with my flower.

And so we finally enter the main greenhouse-house, where we are bombarded with plants, I know, shocker. We continue forth through rows upon rows of plants, when we finally see it... Herbs! The one kind of plant I can vibe with! Not only because I can use it as garnish on cocktails, but also because it makes me feel like a witch, brewing potions in her little garden outside of her cottage in a spooky forest. So I have a look around and keep this section in mind as we pass, "I might have to come back later if I don't find anything better elsewhere."

We continue into another section of the store, and it is huge. Bigger than the last one. Much bigger. My family goes ahead, experts as they are, I stay back as not the get in anyones way, I am just here to have a look anyway. And the view was pretty nice, lots of pink, just how I like it.

We look at many plants, many colors, many shapes and sizes. My eyes start to burn. But I still managed to find a few interesting ones. This one has a funny name. "Männertreu", couldn't be me but go off kings and queens, you have my deepest sympathies.

This one caught my eye because it was very cool, it had sort of like a silver sheen on it, very fantasy-esque.

After looking at all the pink flowers I could find, I proceed to enter the other area, but not before noticing a sign near the "employees only" area, which roughly translated to (and I'm doing this from memory) "Plant cultivation area: whoever enters this area has to work :)" and my dumb, literal, autistic ass thought this meant "you will have to lend a hand here, but feel free to enter". The more you know.

Then I finally find it, the cactus section! I see plenty old friends, friends which I have managed to kill, drown and starve. I cast my glance elsewhere like I'm embarrassed to see an old friend from school. I hasten to look at the other room plants and I find this cool, black foliage, almost bought it but I have no idea what it is or how to care for it. Also I feel like my sister would have wanted the emo plant more than me.

But I spend the rest of my time looking at her, my first love... Herbs. I check out my options. Mint would be cool (hehe), but it's not very pretty and not very witchy. Oregano is just another spice I know because of pizza. Basil was my second choice, but again it's just leaves upon leaves, smells nice tho. But the one plant that can serve face ans scent in lavender. Even as little flower buds they smelt really good, and, most importantly, witchy!

It was, however, really late when we got home, I didn't have time to take pictures of my babies, or make them a cute little "Hello, my name is...". This will have to wait. Day 2 I plan on baptizing them and putting them in their rightful home, the strawberry pot. If I'm lucky, I'll even remember to water them and look up how to properly care for this species.
